The Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida proudly holds family-oriented events allowing South Florida residents to enjoy fun, educational and culturally rich experiences. These special happenings promote the important relationship the Tribe has established and strives to maintain with the local community.

Our signature events include Kruisin’ Krome Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show, Miccosukee Tribe Celebrates American Indian Day event – both held at Miccosukee Resort & Gaming, and the Miccosukee Indian Arts Festival, occurring each December at the historic Miccosukee Indian Village. Miccosukee Tribe Celebrates American Indian Day

Each September, the fourth Friday of the month is set aside to honor and celebrate all Native Americans, the first Americans to live in the United States. This significant day has grown to a joyful occasion representing the unique way of life of our people and where all Tribes can share their cultures in a festive atmosphere.

At the Miccosukee Tribe Celebrates American Indian Day Event, you will soon discover that the focus of this wonderful celebration is to observe, learn about, and share the heritage, way of life and customs of the Miccosukees and Native American Tribes throughout the country.

Here’s your rare opportunity to watch a Miccosukee Fashion Show, witness the daring alligator wrestling, explore the genuine Indian arts and crafts, and enjoy Native American music and dancers. Miccosukee Indian Arts Festival

Nestled in the heart of the enchanting Florida Everglades, the Miccosukee Indian Village represents the proud home of this annual Tribal gathering and event. It is where you will embrace the Tribe’s heritage in its natural environment, untouched and unspoiled for thousands of years.

Guests can listen to Native American storytellers and singers. Watch dancers and performers as they captivate your imagination. Witness tribesmen have face-to-face encounters with alligators, marvel at the historic artifacts at the Miccosukee Museum, enjoy the Miccosukee Fashion Show and discover the Everglades on airboat rides. Taste authentic Native American cuisine and explore the vendors area where diverse Tribes offer genuine arts and crafts including woodwork, beadwork, patchwork, basket weaving and doll making like they have for many generations.

This can’t miss annual event has been held the last week of the year and is highlighted by vibrant, multi-colored paintings and clothing designed by Native American artisans. The experience is culturally rich, features nonstop entertainment and fun-filled activities for adults and children.
