Miccosukee Tribe Celebrates American Indian Day Festival with Two Days of Art, Music & Culture

Miami, FL – August 29, 2023– Roots. Culture. Unity: three words that define the American Indian Day Festival, a celebration of the vibrant traditions and lifestyles of Indigenous Nations hosted annually by the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida. This year’s event includes a two-day gathering on Saturday, September 23 (12 PM – 8 PM) & Sunday, September 24 (10 AM – 6 PM) at Miccosukee Casino & Resort. Presented in part by Dade Construction, admission is FREE and guarantees all attendees a family-friendly, culturally enriching experience.

Featuring live performances by World Champion Fancy Dancer Larry Yazzie and the Native Pride Dancers and singer-songwriter Cypress Billie, guests will also enjoy indigenous craft vendors, food trucks, alligator wrestling shows, airboat rides, painting sessions, a kid’s zone area with petting zoo, grease pole competitions, a Miccosukee fashion show, and much more!
